Lammermuir House in Dubar is a purpose-built home with beautiful views of the sea and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1986. We are a short drive away from Dunbar town centre, which makes for a great day out for residents and their loved ones to spend quality time together.

We believe just because someone moves into a care home, that doesn’t mean they should stop doing the things they love. That’s why we provide an ever-changing activities programme inspired by residents’ interests and needs. Our programme of activities is based on our current resident interests and includes:

  • Pet Therapy Dog Bramble visits fortnightly
  • Fortnightly craft group
  • Church services from Dunbar Parish Church and Belhaven Parish Church
  • Monthly Creative Mojo craft projects
  • Dunbar Choral Society visits
  • Trips out when the weather permits
  • Gardening
  • Speakers from the community to help stay connected

We have a visitor and speaker programme with individuals from the local community, for example we had the Dunbar Choral Society join us in December along with Dunbar Sings and the Dunbar School of Dance. We’ve had someone in playing the bagpipes, Aaron Johnstone talking about Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Battle of Prestonpans as well as the Scottish Seabird Centre talking about marine life (as one of our residents used to dive).

I love that they do so many activities and keep Dad occupied…The team are always kind, considerate, and welcoming…I’m very happy my dad is in this home.” – 5 star carehome.co.uk review
