We are recruiting a Payroll Administrator.  As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for the processing of weekly payrolls as allocated by the Payroll Team Leader to ensure payments dates are met and employees are paid accurately and on time in accordance with contractual and statutory regulations and ensuring compliance with the data protection act.  As one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK it’s important to us to couple great care with meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

As a Payroll Administrator you will:

  • Be responsible for the correct payment of all employees statutory pay and any other payment as advised
  • Ensure deductions are made in accordance with Local Authority regulations for Attachment of Earnings
  • Ensure that tax and National Insurance contributions are correctly deducted and any other deductions as advised
  • Complete any external agency returns and answer enquiries ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act
  • Be able to answer any internal enquires and requests for information for other departments
  • Ensure the accurate and timely resolution of all enquiries from both external and internal sources within their team and ensure relevant parties are updated

To succeed you will be:

  • Numerate and literate with ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Knowledgeable of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP
  • Able to identify and analyse problems
  • Customer focussed
  • Helpful and courteous in response to requests for information or help
  • Sensitive to and respectful of the values, views and needs of others
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
