Regional Trainer

We are recruiting a Regional Trainer.  As a Regional Trainer you will support a specified portfolio of homes to equip team members with the knowledge and practical skills to deliver high quality care to our residents and to deliver and co-ordinate learning solutions to ensure regulatory requirements are met.   This is a regional role  covering the North East and Yorkshire area. We are offering a salary between £28,000 – £30,000 plus a Car Allowance.

As a Regional Trainer, you will:

  • Assist your region in identifying learning needs for teams to deliver high quality care
  • Liaise with Home Managers and take ownership and responsibility for induction of new team members when required
  • Plan appropriate courses to take place as per identified need including venue, attendees and appropriate resources
  • Assist with the design and delivery of learning courses, liaising with subject matter experts within the business and the Learning and Development Manager to build a catalogue of effective learning resources and solutions
  • Deliver induction and refresher training to all team members in the region via a variety of different methods, including classroom sessions and virtual learning opportunities
  • Facilitate Level 3 Moving and Handling Train the Trainer courses, provide ongoing support and advice to your region relating to safe people handling, and risk assessments
  • Monitor effectiveness of learning interventions and obtain feedback from delegates to ensure interventions are customer focused
  • Support homes by carrying out observations of practice to assess effectiveness of the learning provided and highlight any concerns.

To succeed you will be:

  • Experienced in Health and Social Care training
  • Able to deliver training at all levels
  • Familiar with statutory and mandatory training for care
  • Experienced in using e:learning modules
  • Enthusiastic for teaching and learning
  • Organised and demonstrate effective time management
  • Able to adapt within a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Able to work flexibly, under pressure and to deadlines
  • A driver with a full driving licence

The home provides residential care for people who need a little help with daily tasks like washing, dressing and eating, along with general nursing care for people with more complex medical conditions. They also offer specialist residential or nursing care for those living with dementia and respite care.
